Humana Medicare Supplement plans sold in California
These are the plans Humana Insurance Company is listed as selling in California. Every plan with the same letter has the same federal benefits no matter which company sells it, so the real differences are price, rating method and service.
| Plan | What it covers |
|---|---|

| Plan B | Everything in Plan A, plus the Part A deductible. |

| High-deductible Plan F | The high-deductible version of Plan F. You pay a yearly deductible first ($2,950 in 2026), then the plan pays 100% of covered costs. Same eligibility limit as Plan F. |
| Plan G | Nearly identical to Plan F except it does not pay the Part B deductible. It does pay Part B excess charges. It is the plan most new Medicare enrollees choose. |
| High-deductible Plan G | The high-deductible version of Plan G. You pay a yearly deductible first ($2,950 in 2026), then the plan pays 100% of covered costs. |
| Plan K | You share costs with the plan. It pays 50% of most covered costs until you reach a yearly out-of-pocket limit ($8,000 in 2026), then pays 100% for the rest of the year. Lower premium, more exposure. |
| Plan L | You share costs with the plan. It pays 75% of most covered costs until you reach a yearly out-of-pocket limit ($4,000 in 2026), then pays 100% for the rest of the year. |
| Plan N | Pays most of the same costs as Plan G, but you pay copays of up to $20 for some office visits and up to $50 for emergency room visits that do not result in admission. It does not pay the Part B deductible or excess charges. |

Plan G or Plan N?
Plan G
Higher monthly premium, but after you pay the Part B deductible once a year, you generally pay nothing more for covered Medicare services. Good if you want predictable costs.
Plan N
Lower monthly premium in exchange for small copays and exposure to Part B excess charges. Good if you are healthy and comfortable with occasional small bills.
Before you enroll
Use your open enrollment window
Your Medigap open enrollment period lasts 6 months, starting the first month you are 65 or older and enrolled in Medicare Part B. During it, a company cannot deny you coverage or charge you more because of your health. After it, you may face medical underwriting.
Compare more than one carrier
The same benefits cost different amounts at different companies, and companies price by age, ZIP code and household differently. Always compare at least two or three.
The California birthday rule
California gives many Medigap policyholders a yearly window around their birthday to switch to another carrier’s plan of equal or lesser benefits without new medical underwriting. Read how it works.
